Guests of the Scrap Retreat House at French Valley will enjoy the spacious areas of the retreat home. Great care has been given to provide a warm, relaxing atmosphere in which our guests can be inspired to create.

The largest room in the retreat home is the crop area which is over 500 square feet and dedicated for the use of weekend retreat guests. This elegantly appointed room boasts custom built coffered ceilings and a mirrored wall surrounded by beautiful moulding. Nine recessed lights provide daylight lighting ideal for scrapbooking. The overhead surround sound speaker system is connected to the digital stereo receiver equipped with an iPod docking station where guests are welcome to listen to their favorite music playlists. A centrally located 42" plasma TV equipped with access to over 1000 popular TV shows, movies, and music stations is available for use in the crop room. The plasma TV is connected to the digital stereo receiver for surround sound enjoyment. Each guest is treated to their own six-foot long table which provides a spacious area to freely create their projects. Guests are provided with comfortable leather task chairs which easily move on casters as they work at the tables. Each table is also equipped with a daylight lamp for detail work and a power strip to conveniently connect laptops or other electronic devices. Separate tool areas and a computer station is available within the crop room. A computer workstation is equipped with a desktop computer with high-speed Internet access. The computer is installed with the Cricut Design Studio and Sure Cuts A Lot software which is connected to a Cricut Expression. A library of 22 Cricut cartridges is available for use with the Cricut Expression and computer. - The following tools are also available for use in the tool area: |

La Chambre Bleue The full bathroom downstairs, and attached to the Blue Room, is equipped with a shower, vanity, and toilet. |

La Chambre deJillian This room's unique feature is that it shares a bathroom with the Jack room. However, it has its own private mirrored vanity and sink area. |

Le Chambre de Chocolat (The Chocolate Room) The rich hues of this room, which accomodates two guests, reminds us of the pleasures of sweet chocolate covered strawberries. This room has French doors leading to a balcony where guests are welcome to enjoy the fresh valley air. The upstairs bathroom is across the hall from the Chocolate Room and is equipped with a full-sized tub, showerhead, and toilet. |

La Chambre des Maîtres The full bathroom in the Master Suite is equipped with a spacious tub and a separate shower. This bathroom also has a private toilet area. |

The Living Room Furnished with a stylish, traditional sofa, a pair of armchairs, coffee table, and end tables with lamps, guests may use this room to take a moment to enjoy reading many of the available scrapbooking magazines and books in our collection. The living room is home to a 27" television, DVD player, and VHS player. A fully controlled massage chair is also located in the living room for our guests' enjoyment. |

The Dining Room This room is adjacent to the living room and has a large dining table that can seat eight people. Guests can enjoy meals together here with their friends while taking a break from scrapbooking. |

The Butler's Pantry Connecting the formal dining room to the kitchen, this area is home to the snack bar. Weekend retreat guests are treated to complimentary snacks as well as coffee, tea, and bottled water here. Note: Snacks and beverages are not available for special or discounted weekend retreats. |

The Foyer This is the view to which guests are welcomed upon entering the Scrap Retreat House. The durable, rich-colored hardwood flooring invites each guest to follow it down to the crop room as well as flowing to the adjacent living room and dining room areas near the entry. |
